Developments at the EEOC: On January 3, 2017, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) published a Final Rule in the Federal Register, 82 Fed.Reg. 654-681.  The Final Rule clarifies the federal government's obligations as a model employer of disabled individuals.

Can I get a federal job with a criminal record?

Having a criminal record does not automatically bar a person from most federal government positions. It does make it harder to get your foot in the door. It can hinder advancement for jobs with higher security clearance. But it should not stop you from applying for federal jobs.
