During law school, Mr. Pitts-Wiley served as a law clerk for Passman & Kaplan, P.C. and for the D.C. Employment Justice Center. As a law clerk, Mr. Pitts-Wiley assisted attorneys representing public- and private-sector employees in matters of employment and labor law.

Before law school, Mr. Pitts-Wiley worked as paralegal for Passman & Kaplan, P.C.

In 2001, Mr. Pitts-Wiley graduated from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, with a double major in Public Policy Studies and African & African-American Studies. Mr. Pitts-Wiley received his law degree in May 2006 from the American University Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C.
